After more than 30 years of meaningful impact, the TD Scholarships for Community Leadership program has concluded. The program recognized remarkable young people who are making a difference in their communities, while helping them pursue post-secondary education. As we mark the conclusion of the program, we are proud and grateful to the scholars, alumni, and partners who helped shape its legacy and whose impact will continue to be felt.

TD remains committed to honouring all existing commitments to current scholars, and looks forward to supporting young people in new and evolving ways.

FAQs for TD Scholarships for Community Leadership

Yes. TD is concluding the TD Scholarships for Community Leadership program after more than 30 years. We're proud of the impact the program has had and celebrate the contributions of the scholars, alumni, and community that contributed to its success. All existing commitments to current scholars will continue to be honoured.


No. If you're a current scholarship recipient, your existing funding, program support and eligible summer work term opportunities will continue, where applicable. Updates will be shared through the regular program channels.


No. TD remains committed to supporting young people and communities and is focused on evolving its youth-focused investments through its broader Social Impact priorities.


Not at this time. TD continues to explore other ways to support youth, education and communities through our broader Social Impact priorities.

We understand that some students and families may have been planning to apply. The TD Scholarships for Community Leadership program is concluding, and no new applications will be accepted for 2026 and beyond. TD remains committed to supporting young people and communities through its broader Social Impact priorities.

校友风采

Larissa Vingilis-Jaremko – 2001

Naheed Dosani博士 - 2004

安大略省多伦多。作为姑息治疗医生和卫生与人权活动家,Naheed Dosani致力于促进无家可归者平等获得医疗服务。这些工作包括成立姑息教育和无家可归者护理中心(PEACH),并担任皮尔地区COVID无家可归者应对措施的医疗主管。

Naheed通过教育和宣传活动分享自己对健康公平的热情,包括媒体、公共演讲、社交媒体以及在多伦多大学和麦克马斯特大学任教等。​​​​​​​


Alannis McKee – 2014

西北地区黃刀。多年来,Alannis帮助残障人士与社区建立更加紧密的联系,带来了丰富的体验与机会。作为西北地区残疾人理事会的项目主管,她为残障人士争取权益,使残疾人能够享有自主、充实的生活,并能平等地获得服务。她在攻读学位的同时加入了理事会,她获得的学位包括阿尔伯塔大学心理学学位和约克大学严重残疾研究硕士学位。Alannis在2019年当选挪威的北极新晋领袖。


Simon Jackson - 2000

阿尔伯塔省卡尔加里。Simon正在通过帮助年轻人重视绿色空间并开始应对当今的环境挑战来创造一个充满活力的星球。作为柯莫德熊研究所自然实验室的联合创始人,他创建了“虚拟高中教科书”,这是一个基于故事讲述的课程资源,让城市的年轻人探索和捍卫大自然。Simon的愿景可以追溯到他13岁的时候,当时他建立了“柯莫德熊青年联盟”,成功地拯救了卑诗省柯莫德白熊的最后一个完整的栖息地。Simon曾被评选为联合国教科文组织100年地球天使和《时代》杂志的60年地球英雄之一。

我们与AFOA Canada(一个由原住民领导的非营利组织)合作,创建了一个为满足原住民社区学生需求而打造的奖学金。致力于打破系统性障碍,为这些学生打开大门。每年颁发25份奖学金,持续4年,价值高达$60,000。 了解更多
